CONFUSION over Shania's NBC special is SOLVED

It seems there is some confusion going on regarding the air date of Shania's primetime NBC special. Two different sources are now reporting two different dates for the special.

CountryStars.com still says that the special will air on August 27, but Shania.com is saying that the special will air on NBC on August 12.

One of those dates appears to be correct. The problem is: Which one?

I will keep you posted on anything I find out. I just wanted to warn you about the confusion just in case you're trying to plan for the airing of the special.

I'm sorry for all of this confusion.


Edited on July 26: The air date for the special is now officially listed as Tuesday, August 19, as it is stated below.

NBC.com and Mercury now agree that the air date is Tuesday, August 19 at 8 PM eastern on NBC.

7/10 update - SHANIA'S CONCERT IN CHICAGO ON NBC!!!
Shania will perform a special FREE outdoor concert at Hutchinson Field in Chicago’s Grant Park July 27th. The concert titled, “Shania Twain UP! Live in Chicago,” will be filmed for an upcoming NBC special to air on August 19th. If you can't be there live to watch Shania rock Chicago, stay tuned to NBC for local broadcasting times!

The date is August 19.

It seems that NBC.com and Mercury are actually in agreement this time. So, August 19 looks to be correct.

Sorry for the confusion. It is quite annoying when these things happen.
