The date for Shania's special seems to have been settled. This morning I found an article from an NBC station website that states clearly that the air date for Shania's NBC special is on August 12!

The article also says that people can WIN Tickets to the July 27 taping of the concert in Chicago!

So, it looks like you can set your VCRs for Shania's special to air on August 12. :D

Sorry about all of the confusion.

I'm glad everything seems to be cleared up now. :)

Her new, two-hour special follows Twain’s record-setting album “Come On Over” - the most successful female solo artist album of all time with worldwide sales of 34 million. Twain’s latest album, “Up!” has put her atop the charts again with an artful mix of dance tracks and moody ballads. The special will be videotaped in Chicago this summer.

is it really going to be a 2 hour long special???? if it is, that is sooo awesome..........can't wait for that!!! :D :D

Yes. It is supposed to be 2 hours long.

Hopefully NBC will really promote the special and-or give it a decent lead-in for the night.

I can't belive it is 2 hours!!! :D :D thats awesome!!! but now people have been saying its on the 19th of August!????now i'm confused again!???

I'm confused as well. People keep changing the Date.

Right now, I'm sticking with August 12th because that's what an NBC site says.

I don't know what else to do except wait to see if NBC changes their date.
