Zoe Sang Shania Twain Hit
Aylesford School pupil Zoe Chamberlain had never sung in front of an audience until a year ago.
Zoe, 16, from Warwick reached last year's Teen Idol final and now has a demo CD and several public performances under her belt.
She will be appearing again this year when she joins fellow finalist Sean Rumsey as a backing singer in the band.
She said: "I always enjoyed singing but never performed in public.
"I thought Teen Idol would be a good experience and wanted to see how far I would get, but I didn't expect to get into the final."
Zoe, who also plays the flute and saxophone, sang Shania Twain's song You're Still the One in the final.
She said: "It was nerve-wracking but exciting as well.
"The audience was really good and it was a really good experience.
"After this I would like to be a singer - if not I would like to go on and work with children."
When asked if she had any advice for this year's participants, she added: "Just enjoy it because it really is good fun
