Shania has 8 CANADIAN CMA Nominations!

The nominations for the 2003 Canadian CMA awards were announced earlier today.

Shania did very well. She matched her own personal best. She got EIGHT Canadian CMA nominations this year!

Shania previously received 8 nominations back in 1998 as well. She ended up winning 6 trophies that night.

This year, Shania has a chance to exceed that award total. Shania has a chance at winning 7 different trophies this year. [Shania has 2 nominations in the Video of the Year category. So, she only has a chance to get 7 trophies instead of 8.]

The awards will air LIVE on the CMT network in the U.S. and on the CBC network in Canada on September 8.

Yes. You can Vote for her to win the Fans' Choice award, but I don't think the voting has started yet. I'm not sure but I think the voting starts in August.

I'll keep you updated if I find out any Voting information.

The Canadian CMA awards will air on the CMT network in the United States and on the CBC network in Canada on September 8.

So that means that both countries will get to see the show LIVE!
