CONFIRMED Shania Special - August 19!

I hope this is the last time I have to say this, but Shania's First NBC TV special of the year has a New CONFIRMED air date.

The previous date from an NBC affiliate was quickly dropped from their site and not mentioned in any further articles.

Now, Thanks to fellow board member Bas [Thank you bas! :D ], I have now been informed that the air date issue seems to have been settled.

The main NBC site, NBC.com , has CONFIRMED a New Date and Time for Shania's FIRST special of 2003.

Shania's first special will be 2-hours long and it will air on August 19 at 8 PM Eastern. [Shania's 2nd special will air sometime in the FALL of this year. More information is in another post toward the bottom of this thread.]

This is what NBC.com says about Shania's FIRST special of the year:

8/7pm Tuesday, August 19th
Shania Twain in Concert

Winner of five Grammys (and six-time American Music Awards), Shania Twain brings a multitude of crossover pop and country fans who have helped her attain unprecedented career heights. Her new, two-hour special features songs off her record-setting album "Come On Over" and her new album, "Up."

I don't know.

I just know that Mercury Nashville [Shania's label], NBC.com , AND Shania.com ALL agree that the date is August 19.

NBC.com not only reported the August 19 date but Also reported the TIME of the special as well.

So, I'm pretty sure it's accurate. [Up until August 19 was announced by NBC.com , NBC.com had NOT set ANY date. I guess the other dates were just rumors.]

As far as I know, AUGUST 19 is the date.

The official Canadian TV Guide site reports that Shania's August 19 NBC special is just the FIRST one out of TWO that are scheduled for this year.

NBC will also celebrate the 10th anniversary of "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" with a 90-minute primetime special on Sept. 14, and there will be two – count ’em two – Shania Twain concert specials coming up: one on Aug, 19 and another later in the fall. Last year's must have been quite successful, huh?

8/5 UPDATE - SHANIA PERFORMS OUTDOOR CONCERT FOR NBC SPECIAL!
Shania performed a special FREE outdoor concert at Hutchinson Field in Chicago’s Grant Park on July 27th. The concert, titled “Shania Twain UP!
