TV Special: FREE Shania Concert on July 27!

Shania fans who live in Chicago will be treated to a Free outdoor Shania concert on JULY 27th!

The concert is being taped for an NBC special that will air in August.

-- Shania Twain will perform a special free outdoor concert at Hutchinson Field in Chicago's Grant Park July 27th. The concert titled, "Shania Twain UP! Live in Chicago," will be filmed for an upcoming NBC special to air in August.

"I'm so looking forward to coming back to the States to play a full concert," says Shania. "Playing live in front of the fans is what I enjoy the most."

"Shania Twain UP! Live in Chicago" will be her fourth network special.

You need Tickets to get into the Chicago concert...but the Tickets are free.

GUIDELINES FOR SHANIA TWAIN TICKET HOT STOPS

1) The Shania Twain Concert is free, but you must have a ticket for admittance.
Listeners can only get tickets at US99.5 Shania Twain Hot Stop Appearances.

2) A Hot Stop Appearance is scheduled at the Millenium Park Ice Rink at noon.
It's sponsored by the Canadian Tourism Board. The ticket giveaway will start promptly at noon.

3) Must be 18 or older to receive tickets. This means the listener must have been born on/or before June 6, 1985.

4) Only 2 tickets per person. Due to limited supply, we have to keep it fair for everyone who shows up by giving each listener two tickets.

5) All listeners can register for the Shania Twain 2nd Chance Drawing, but only once per each Shania Twain Hot Stop Appearance.

6) 500 Second Chance Drawing Winners will be chosen on July 11, 2003. Each winner will receive two tickets. They're tickets will be mailed to them and their name will be posted on the US99.5 Website at us99.com.

Up!, Twain's current album, has sold over eight million copies.

Her previous album, 1997's Come On Over, sold over 34 million copies and holds the record for being the biggest-selling female solo album of all time.

Shania Twain will stage a free concert July 27 at Hutchinson Field in Chicago's Grant Park. As tipped here earlier this month, the show will be filmed for her fourth NBC special, "Shania Twain UP! Live in Chicago," due to air in August.

"Chicago totally rocked the last time I played there and I can't think of a better place to play my first U.S. live concert in two-and-a-half years," Twain says in a statement. "We're going to have a blast Chicago!"

The event is being produced by Jam Productions Ltd. and sponsored by local radio outlet WUSN (US99.5) and the Chicago Tribune. The station and the paper will disseminate information about obtaining free tickets to the concert.

Following the show, Twain will head to New York for a number of television appearances, including an Aug. 1 free outdoor show for NBC's "Today."
