I thought it would be easier for everyone if I just created 1 thread for the Magazines that Shania appears in.

I will edit/update the list as the magazines are added & taken down from magazine newsstands. If an announcement about a magazine appearance is removed from this post because Shania's appearance in that magazine was canceled or delayed, I will make an announcement about it in this thread. Read the Subject line of the post to see when the list was last updated.


This is information about the current list of magazines that Shania is featured on or in:



1) LIFETIME Magazine - Shania will be on the COVER of the DECEMBER 2003 issue of LIFETIME magazine.

The issue is due to be in stores on November 18, 2003.


2) GLAMOUR Magazine - Shania is on the Cover of the OCTOBER 2003 issue of GLAMOUR magazine.

Yes. There is supposedly a photo of Shania with her Walk of Fame star in the "Globe" tabloid rag.

The Globe is exactly like the National Enquirer. They are both TABLOIDS.

On Monday, I'll check out the "Globe" magazine too and see what kind of Shania photo, if any, the issue has. Although I don't think I'll be buying it because I hate tabloids.

thanks for checking out the pics......i hate tabloids too, so most likely will get the people mag......but if its a nice enough picture in the globe maybe i will get it(i'll keep her pic and throw everything else out since the rest is junk :lol: :D :wink: :wink:

The photo is a nice one. It's medium-sized. It's not huge.

It's on Page 14 of the July 14 issue of "People." Reese Witherspoon is on the cover.

Shania is featured in the July 21 issue of Us mag....it's a pic from the Walk of Fame...never posted. :D

Neither one. It is a new photo of Shania from the Walk of Fame induction.

The photo is on page 8 of the July 21, 2003 issue of US Magazine. Demi and Ashton Kutcher are on the cover.

It is just a picture of Shania standing straight up, by herself, in her Pink dress. It's a full-length photo.

The only drawback is that the left side of Shania's body is blocked by a photo of Mya. The Mya photo kind of overlaps on top of part of the Shania photo.

Since the first post is so cluttered I decided to include an extra little message about Shania being featured many times in the July/August issue of Country Music Today.

This is a list of the many mentions of Shania in the July/August issue of Country Music Today:

A) Shania's Name is mentioned on a MAP that covers pages 24 & 25 of the issue. The map indicates where various Country stars were born. Shania's name, of course, is posted in the Canadian area of the map.

B) Page 26 features a brief write-up on Shania, her Canadian roots, and the best places to visit while in Canada. [Pages 26 & 27 features write-ups on all of the stars listed on the "Star Map."]

C) Page 49 features an alphabetical list of the "100 Greatest Songs of Country Music" that was selected by CMT. Shania's You're Still the One made the list.

D) Page 57 features photos and coverage of the Willie Nelson Tribute special. On that page there is a small photo of Shania singing with Willie Nelson.

That page also features a quote from Shania about Willie. This is the Quote from Shania about Willie:

F) Page 65 features a nice, clear Color photo of Shania from backstage at the Flameworthy awards. The photo is a Full-Length photo - it shows Shania from head-to-toe. It's really nice!

The July issue of the British version isn't even out where I live. The only version of "GQ" that I've seen, besides the United States version, is the Spanish version.

I guess E-bay is the best place to look.

Shania Twain tops the list of contenders for the 27th annual Canadian Country Music Awards with eight nominations, including Female Artist of the Year. Newcomer Aaron Lines, a star in Canada before landing his U.S. record deal, received six nominations, Terri Clark got five and Lisa Brokop scored three. The awards show host, Paul Brandt, is nominated for two, as are Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Adam Gregory and Brad Johner. Emerson Drive is vying in the Group category. The CCMA show will be held Sept. 8 at Calgary's Pengrowth Saddledome.

It's the one where she's bent down by her Star on the Walk of Fame. She's posing with the mounties and she's saluting towards the camera.

It's an extremely large version of the photo. The magazine itself is Large in shape. The Shania Walk of Fame photo covers the ENTIRE PAGE. :)

It's in the "Out & About" section because Country Weekly is often very behind on their News stories. It's not uncommon for them to put "News" in their magazine that is at least a Month old.

Sometimes they are up-to-date, but it's very rare. The only times they seem to really keep up with the news is when they are reporting on Major Country Music award shows, such as the ACM awards in May and the CMA awards that are in November.

I don't know. They are a bi-weekly magazine, despite their title. The magazine comes out every TWO weeks. It was a weekly magazine for a LONG time. Then it moved to every two weeks.

Their news coverage, especially on Shania, is pretty bad and very lacking 99% of the time. It's rare to have so many Shania-mentions in any 1 issue of "Country Weekly." That's why I was shocked when Both the HUGE Walk of Fame photo and the article on the Canadian CMA nominations was included in their latest issue.


The most annoying thing about the magazine is that it often features the same people on the cover all of the time. Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, George Strait, Alan Jackson, and Kenny Chesney are almost always on the cover.

Those are the people that are featured IN the magazine 99% of the time too. The stories are often the same too. The Tim and Faith issues always talk about their marriage. The George and Alan issues talk about their traditionalist values and their families. The Kenny issues always talk about his friendship with Tim. [Tim often accompanies him on the cover.]

Shania is rarely on the cover or featured inside. In the past few years Shania has been on the cover a total of 2 times.

Shania's most recent Cover features were on These dates:

November 26, 2002 - the Feature on her Return to the spotlight after her break.

May 1, 2001 - the Feature on recent country star Pregnancies. Shania SHARED the cover and there was a grand total of one tiny paragraph on her inside the issue.

April 4, 2000 - she SHARED the cover with Alan Jackson. The title of the story was "Country Vs. Pop."


That's it for the the issues that had Shania on the cover.

In that time, Tim has been on the Cover of the magazine at least a dozen times. Faith has been on the cover at least 8 or 10 times, a couple of those times were with her husband. Alan and George have each been on the cover at least 10 times each. In that time, Kenny has been on the cover at least 4 times. Those are pretty much the only people who are ever on the cover.

Shania is about as loved by "Country Weekly" as she is by the CMA organization.

On Page 13 of the Sept. 16 Country Weekly magazine, there is a nice Full-Length photo of Shania from the CMT Flameworthy awards. She's wearing the jeans and black top that she arrived to the Flameworthy awards in. It's a nice photo, but it's small. Shania looks very nice in the photo and you get a full-length view of Shania's decorated jeans.

The Flameworthy photo is "Small" in size/proportion. However it is a full-length/head-to-toe shot of Shania.

The Chicago photos are sort of small too. The 2 Chicago photos are kind of hard to describe. It's better if you see them in person.

The Chicago photos are at the TOP of Page 7 and cover 1/3 of the page. Page 7 is divided into 3 rows...with 3 photos of different celebs on various topics. Shania's photos are at the TOP of the page on the First row.
